eye+dot provides busy primary or secondary urgent eye care services with a reliable timesaving tool to help evaluate and prioritise patients with eye conditions, whether remotely or in person.

Designed with an NHS ophthalmologist, eye+dot uses a structured interactive questionnaire, which asks the right questions to help ensure the patient gets to the right place at the right time.

An initial service evaluation has demonstrated 100% sensitivity and 93% specificity for identification of patients requiring urgent hospital care.

Using our customer portal, the service sends the patient a link to eye+dot which they can then complete on any suitable internet connected device. Patients who may not be able to use a computer can be taken through eye+dot over the phone.

rapid results in the right form

Once the questionnaire has been completed, eye+dot will return an email with a link to the results, showing the list of questions and patient responses.

If the responses warrant, eye+dot can provide immediate first aid advice to the patient, either with a link to the appropriate NHS web page or directly on screen.

Results can be viewed, copied, printed or downloaded as a pdf. Integration with the service’s record system is also possible via an eye+dot API endpoint.

eye+dot is also able to evaluate the results and offer the service a suggested disposition. This should only be used in combination with a review of the patient's responses by an appropriate healthcare professional.


eye+dot does not collect personal data and is securely hosted in the UK. It is available as a pay as you go or subscription service, with significant volume discounts.
